October 17, 2011 October News...
I hope this newsletter finds you well. It's getting close to peak Fall color here in Tryon. That's perfect, because the Autumn Landscape workshop starts next Monday. Let me know if you would like to paint here in the Foothills next week!
I got to paint yesterday in Cumming, GA with my friend Gary Cooley and former CCS instructor Garry Colby! It was a great day.

A lot of portraits are getting done! It has been such an honor to paint Isabel And Fort. They are beautiful kids, in a beautiful family.

There have been a good number of charcoal portraits in the last few months. I love doing these drawings!

It has been a terrific privilege to paint Jack too. The only downside; he is the youngest of three brothers, so my work is done there!

It's been so cool getting to know, and paint, these fantastic people.

The gallery continues to go well. Kim and Harry have sold these paintings recently.

Please let me know if you're interested in gallery work, portraits, workshops, or anything else! Good luck with everything there...

Learn who Skyuka was here. The mountain north of Tryon, from Miller to White Oak, is called Skyuka in honor of him.
