Dealing with rejection is a hurdle we all have to find our way around, under, over, through at some time . . . I believe the process is an important part of maturing as an artist. I remember reaching the conclusion that rejection is not about the artwork and it is not about me, it's about the person rejecting. Art appreciation is ultimately subjective and the attitude (be it conscious or unconscious) one brings to viewing the work is highly personal.
